[ 2. | THE PLANNING

Through close cooperation with our architects and private clients, the work piece is fully integrated into the overall project. Before and during the work, we sit together at the desk or in the forge to discuss the progress of the work so that when installed, the final result fully meets your wishes and our high standards.

[ 3. | THE WORKING PROCESS

By fire and gas the iron is formed into the desired shape, traditional bracing techniques are used to set the workpiece into its final shape. If necessary, new techniques are also used. Our workpieces are then treated in our own paint shop until we achieve our high-quality final result.

[ 4. | THE RESULT

After planning and preparing, making and finishing the pieces, the last part is the installation. This part of the work is also part of our labour. During this part, we look for correct placement and functioning of the piece. Of course, the surroundings are not lost sight of and only when our work is a part of the whole are we satisfied.

After the complete work is finished, we go over everything together with the architect or private client to complete our labour and leave a satisfied customer.

My name is Wilfried Roosen, I have been passionate about history, art, old cities and buildings from an early age.
Thanks to the journeys I was able to experience with my parents as a child, I visited various historical sites, which always rekindled my admiration for old techniques.

But it wasn‘t until 2006 that I took my first steps in blacksmithing. Thanks to a course at Eisen und Feuer! vzw, the flame for historical techniques rekindled in me, and this time I was unstoppable.
